Summer dress for me!

Wow, I had some time to sew for me! We went for Christmas to United Arab Emirates with my family and I wanted to have a new dress. I finally got to use that awesome fabric my friend brought me from India few years ago. The pattern is amazing and the fabric is superlight, almost like silk polyester. For the top I used recycled stretch fabric. It could fit better, but I didn't do enough changes for the pattern, which was made for non stretchable fabric. I will post later pics of the original dress!

At the moment I have my hands full with Pan musical, so I don't have much time for fishing! But no worries, I have lots of pictures of Vihree kala products waiting for editing and to be published, so stay tuned!

New layout

Päätin vaihtaa blogin ulkoasua vähän rauhallisempaan ja helpommin luettavaan muotoon. Mitä mieltä olette blogin uudesta ulkoasusta? Mikä on hyvää ja mikä huonoa?

I decided to change the layout of my blog to tranquiler and easier to read form. What do you think? What is good and what's not?

Sunday photoshoot

We had a photoshoot for a new sample last sunday. I noticed this cute sight and wished someone took me on a date to abandoned factory with cheap champagne and disposable champagne "glasses".

Testing new things!

Kuten aiemmin sanoin, en ole malttanut keskittyä farkkuihin. Vihree kala -logosta brodeerattuista merkeistä olen haaveillut jo jonkin aikaa ja viimein ehdin korjata sen! Tein muutaman erilaisen väritestinkin.

As I said, I couldn't concentrate only jeans. I have dreamed of embroidered Vihree kala badges and I finally had time to fix it! I made even few colourtests.

Minulla on hirveä pakkomielle lippiksiin, mutta mikään valmis lippis ei ole sellainen kuin haluan. Ratkaisu: tee itse! Tein ensimmäisen testin, joka nyt ei onnistunut aivan kuin olisin toivonut. Täytynee testailla lisää, että saan unelmieni hatun!

Lippikset kyllä innostavat minua paljon, koska niihin saan käytettyä farkuista ylijääneet pienet palat! Minulla on vain yksi ongelma: mistä saisin riittävän isoja paloja kovaa muovia? En todellakaan tahdo ostaa muovia, koska maailma hukkuu siihen jo nyt. Olen aivan varma että jossain jää juuri sopivia paloja yli, mutta missä? Ideoita?

I have an obsession for caps, but I haven't seen a single cap that I would want.Solution: do it yourself! The first test didn't come out as I hoped, but I just need to test more that I get the hat of my dreams!

I'm very excited of these caps, because I can use the small leftover fabric pieces from jeans! I have only one problem: where could I get big enough pieces of hard plastic? I really don't want to buy it, because world is already drowning to plastic. I'm sure that somewhere is just perfect leftover plastic pieces, but where? Any ideas?

So busy and not even fishing!

Minulla on ollut liian kiire kaikennäköisten puvustusjuttujen ja Kesämorsiamen kanssa, etten ole ehtinyt juurikaan keskittyä kalailemaan. Pidimme kesällä kuvaukset farkuista ja saan ne toivottavasti pian näytille. Pikkuhiljaa olen alkanut työstää myös paria uutta ideaa. Se siitä farkkuihin keskittymisestä! Kuvasatoa lähdetään purkamaan varmasti pian!

I have been too busy with costume designing and Summerbride, so I haven't had too much time for fishing. Yeah, we had the summer photoshoot and I hope that I can publish the pics soon! I have been working on few other ideas also. Yeah right, I concentrate on jeans.. Stay tuned, pics coming soon!

Unlucky photoshoot

Tänään kuvailimme koulutyönä tekemääni mekkoa sekä hattua. Sää päätti vaihtua äkisti ja iloiset seilorikuvat kokivat pienen muutoksen.. Katselen mitä niistä saa aikaiseksi tässä joku päivä.

We had a photoshoot for a dress and a hat I made at school. The weather changed suddenly, so we didn't get the happy seilor pics as planned. Let's see what I can do with the pics..
