Seams jewelry

I have been collecting the side seams of jeans and trying to figure out what could I make out of them. At first I invented Seam Stress headband. And now finally I figured out where I can use the smaller pieces. May I represent: The Seams Jewelry.

So many fairs! The fish was also in handcraft fair in Seinäjoki. I had so much fun meeting different people. I liked having the workshop also. Thanks everybody who participated! Some photos from the fair:

The fish has been kind of quiet for a while, but I have been doing things.. Come to Nextiili-paja in Tampere to check out the pieces from the Summer!

Making of Takkutukkakeiju

Iina managed to take some photos during the process. I'm usually so concentrated on my work so no way I remember any making of photos..

So, the play is Takkutukkakeiju. A story about a fairy who isn't like other fairies, she loves popcorn instead of cotton candy and she cannot even dance. She leaves home to become a better fairy and make her parents proud and what she founds on her adventure..

Tammelantorin ympäristötori

Yesterday I was selling stuff in Tammelan tori! It was such a nice evening with live music, smiling people and different sellers and organisations. Hopefully again next year!

I even sold a pair of jeans! These beauties from Final Denim collection went to a nice guy and they really fitted perfectly! It made me so happy. :)

Time to get back to wings and paws for Takkutukkakeiju!

I have been busy with costume designing again. Takkutukkakeiju is a story about a fairy who cannot dance, her wings are always on the way and she doesn't even like cotton candy. She goes on an adventure to become a better fairy and meets interesting people on her way...

I love making these costumes for fairies, trolls, princess and what ever you can imagine! Maybe you'll get some making of material later... ;3

We had Vihree kala basics photo shoot in February in a REAL STUDIO. Wow. First time for me. The amazing models were Irina Kesälä and Petja Kauhanen, photographer Khalid Imran and our super assistant was Teija Ryhtä. Thank you all. Some making of first!

Designsunnuntai +all the new stuff since ages

Wow! So much has happened since I left Berlin and returned to Finland. So, fast rewind with pictures.

Aatu Seppänen designed and drew "Swim upstream!" print for me. Veera Ketonen made the screen and I picked it up from Turku.
